To the Man in the Truck

Yes, I was pissed you cut me off, considering there was no one behind me and I was zipping along. And so, I acknowledge, it may have been confusing to see me start to flip you off, and then lower my hand, and start to laugh. I just thought I'd explain it to you. You have, next to your yellow "Support the Troops" ribbon, a "One Nation Under God" red, white, and blue ribbon. You also have a Sons of Confederate Veterans license plate. How do you reconcile your pride in one nation under god with your desire to drive around with a Confederate battle flag on your license plate? How do you reconcile your support for US troops with your pride at being a descendant of someone who sought to kill US troops? I wondered about that on and off our whole time at the park. It's certainly curious.

How dare you enjoy music by British bands when they had us under the yoke of oppression 200 years ago?

How do you justify buying consumer electronics from the Japanese after the atrocities they committed sixty years ago?

What kind of nerve does it take to go eat at a Vietnamese restaurant considering their abhorrent treatment of John McCain?

Were his ribbon magnets tilted to the side so they looked like Jesus fish?

You're extraordinary. In the split second it takes to flip someone off, you had the patience and intelligence to think things through.
Okay. I'm an idiot. I never could have gonr fron A to B to C. I would have just gone fron A to F.

Well, I had more than that split second. I had the seconds before where I was slamming on my breaks and trying to keep the dog from flying into the windshield.

We bought Tootie a car harness just a few minutes ago. Only took one time of me hitting the brakes and seeing her fly into the floor to seek one of those out.

We put it on her and just let her walk around in it to get used to it. She looked very safe.

Brittney, can she still get her head out the window? Or does it keep her pretty fixed in one spot?

It does not allow head out the window. Which is a definite negative. But Tootie is almost too short for that anyway, so no big loss.
